Over the past few years, the World Health Organization has recognized CBD as a safe and excellent product, such as the products selled by the European CBD flower shop JustBob, that can easily be added to many treatments and for a healthy and balanced life!

Today, we are telling you more about CBD in general!

About CBD

The second most abundant active ingredient present in the cannabis Sativa, second only to THC or tetra-cannabidiol, the CBD or cannabidiol is a metabolite that has no psychotropic or psychoactive action: in fact, it has a relaxing, antidistonic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action and it is not addictive. But on the contrary, it boasts a wide range of therapeutic and medical applications supported by the results of multiple studies and scientific research. It is certainly no coincidence, therefore, that recently the scientific community has turned its interest towards the therapeutic potential of cannabidiol, increasingly used in the so-called “pain therapy”.

To date, CBD is therefore counted among the main elements of “therapeutic cannabis “, used in the treatment of pathologies and disorders of considerable extent affecting the human body. It is currently classified as a food product by the European Union and in small concentrations below 1% in most of the marijuana strains present: however, some species see cannabidiol as a dominant cannabinoid.

What is cannabidiol, and why is it so popular

The CBD or cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive phytocannabinoïdes obtained from the inflorescences of the cannabis Sativa plant, which is today particularly effective in the treatment of countless psycho-physical problems. It has analgesic effects and is an effective antidepressant and anxiolytic.

It also can reduce manifestations of nausea and vomiting, nervous disorders and inflammatory states, resulting in the ability to modulate the action of THC, increasing its therapeutic effects and limiting the collateral ones.

However, CBD is not present in the plant but in its acid form: CBDA. It becomes cannabidiol in all respects if subjected to natural heat or by extraction, processes thanks to which the acid component is changed into a neutral cannabinoid through decarboxylation.

At the level of the organism, CBD is an agonist of GPR55 cannabinoid receptors, serotonin, opioid neurotransmitters and cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2: it does not bind to CB1 receptors present in the central nervous system, although it acts on different neuronal channels compared to the THC and for this reason, it has no psychoactive action and does not alter in any way the perceptive, psychomotor and psychological functions. Numerous clinical studies have amply demonstrated its characteristic analgesic, sedative, antipsychotic, antiepileptic, antidistonic, anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxant effects, and antioxidants.

It can also act effectively against the degenerative process of neurotransmitters such as anandamide, naturally produced by the body to bind to its endogenous receptors, representing a neurotransmitter. Made available when needed, it helps slow down the formation of degenerative cells, promote neurogenesis and help manage pain perception by interacting with endogenous receptors located within the brain, in the central and peripheral nervous system.

However, once its biological action has been implemented, anandamide tends to undergo a sudden degradation process. It is precisely here that CBD comes into play, which can inhibit the harmful activity of the FAAH enzyme responsible for the degenerative process of anandamide, thus prolonging the stimulus of the body’s response to pain and thus producing the characteristic analgesic effect.

Therefore, today CBD, despite the numerous controversies related to cannabis light, proves to be a valuable ally for the body, thanks to the total absence of doping efficacy, a thorny and debated argument also following the Sentence issued by the Court of Cassation of 30 May 2019: the multiple benefits aimed at well-being, relaxation, relaxation and pain relief, have therefore contributed to making this active ingredient, increasingly appreciated by cannabis users, thanks to the infinite possibilities and solutions placed on the market: vaporizers, and -liquid, CBD oil sand crystals represent new methods of intake, perfectly suitable for both therapeutic and recreational use, thus leading the consumer to put well-being before the “high” typically attributable to the well-known antagonist THC.

How to take CBD: what is the correct dosage?

CBD lends itself to the most varied methods of intake, thanks to the wide range of products and derivatives of hemp Sativa currently available on the market. The choice is always purely subjective: many consumers prefer to rely on the consumption of cannabis light, in which the dominant active ingredient is precisely cannabidiol, by inhalation after rolling a classic joint.

Others prefer vaporisation with cannabidiol e-liquid and CBD crystals using specific electronic devices. However, the most effective assumption is that implemented through the sublingual application. Here, CBD oil can guarantee the highest concentration of active ingredients immediately bioavailable.

However, there is no correct and recommended dosage of CBD: subjectivity comes into play. To enjoy the beneficial effects of cannabidiol, it is always advisable to start each treatment following a reduced dosage of about 10 mg per day. Then, gradually integrate the quantities until the desired effects are obtained.

However, in Ireland and Europe, CBD remains a safe active ingredient: there’s no particular side effects or risks of overdose.

It can simply generate drowsiness and slightly reduce the reactivity in muscle and joint mobility. In any case, common sense and awareness are in force.

Therefore, remember that you are still taking a highly concentrated active ingredient, an essential component of what is still considered “amazing” today.
